Though some people use Registered Dietitians and Nutritionists interchangeably, they do differ based on education and have different legal restrictions. If you are looking for someone to tell you exactly what to eat, when to eat it, why you should eat it and how much of it to eat – these are the people you should be looking to work with. If you have specific medical problems, there are specialties for that.

Coaching with Aubrey:

 

How long are the sessions in-person? How about online? 

The initial session would be about an hour, but after that is really up to the individual. Some people only need 30 minutes to check in and talk about what’s working and what’s not. For others, depending on what type of things have surfaced during the sessions, or during the homework, they may need a little bit longer.
 

What does online coaching look like for someone not local?

 
For people who aren’t local, or prefer to receive coaching from the comfort of their own space, there are a couple of options. FaceTime or Skype is great if you want to have that face-to-face contact, or it can be as simple as a phone call. Just like in person coaching, there will be exchanges of emails or text messages, whichever is preferred, to provide a place for dialogue and check ins between calls. People should expect homework assignments, articles and other related material pertaining to the topics of discussion during the coaching sessions. 
 
 

1-on-1 Coaching or ProCoach?

 

 
ProCoach is great for everyone, especially those who are interested in learning about the easiest way to eat. It’s all about de-mystifying dieting myths and teaching people a way to eat for the rest of their lives. It’s simple in the sense that you just have to open your email and take 2 minutes to read the lesson of the day. You literally get the opportunity to learn something new every single day. You also are eased into forming new habits – you get two weeks to practice each one before another is added, and, the accountability it provides is great because every single day you are asked if you’ve practiced the habit.
 
One-on-one coaching is for those people who need just a bit more support. For the people who feel like they have tried everything and nothing works. Being able to work with a coach allows for the opportunity to troubleshoot – seeing what’s working, what’s not working, and how things can be adjusted to make it work for you. This option also allows individuals to dive beyond the surface of just food, to see how different aspects of their life could have an effect on their weight and health. This option is ideal for people who are ready to put in a little extra mental work, and of course, for those people who need an accountability partner.
